Quiltfest for September 2020 has been postponed to September 2021 Municipal Bldg., Main St., Newport, VT Raffle Quilt: “Hunter’s Star” Queen Size, 93” x 93” Pieced By North Country Quilters Machine Quilted by Sherry Greenwood (left), Scrappy Patches Quilting Drawing Sept. 2021 at Quiltfest
Each quilt is judged on its own merits rather than competing against other quilts in the same category for a first, second, and third place award. Therefore, some categories might have several first-place ribbons while others might have none. Because of this system, the category in which a quilt is entered has no effect on its ability to earn a ribbon.
All quilts are judged independently by two judges who assign each one a score based on the point system below. Ribbons are awarded based on the average of the two judges' scores.
Judges each choose their favorite quilt for the two Judge’s Choice Awards. Quilt show attendees vote for which quilt is the favorite for the Peoples' Choice Award.
