About the 2024 NCQG Autumn Quilt Festival North Country Quilters' Autumn Quilt Festival and “Memphre’s Merry Quilt Trail” Hours:
Each quilt is judged on its own merits rather than competing against other quilts in the same category for a first, second, and third place award. Therefore, some categories might have several first-place ribbons while others might have none. Because of this system, the category in which a quilt is entered has no effect on its ability to earn a ribbon.
All quilts are judged independently by two judges who assign each one a score based on the point system below. Ribbons are awarded based on the average of the two judges' scores.
Judges each choose their favorite quilt for the two Judge’s Choice Awards. Quilt show attendees vote for which quilt is the favorite for the Peoples' Choice Award.
